Cheers for Kristin Chenoweth as the Lady Makes It Up To Emmy Nomination

Posted by admin

Hey, you the fans of Kristin Chenoweth, it’s the time for you to send your heartiest wishes to her! Many of you might have liked her role on The West Wing and the rest would have liked her on Pushing Daisies. The femme-fatale has done such a brilliant job on both of the series and has left no stone unturned. And, as of now, her already shining profile and long list of accomplishments gets another star*.

How? Hey buddies….the lady, Oklahoma-born, has received an Emmy Nomination in the category of outstanding supporting actress in a comedy series nod for her work on “Pushing Daisies”, an ABC Network series. She received the nomination for her role of Olive Snook who was a waitress at Ned’s restaurant and was also the next door neighbor to him. The lady had feelings for Ned and knew the secret of Chuck’s existence. And, when she came to know that Lily was Chuck’s mother, she found herself getting overwhelmed by the secrets. Ultimately, she decided to quit Pie Hole. The circumstances got her back to the restaurant. Emerson used to call her ‘Itty-bitty’ as she was so short. In the end of Pushing Daisies, we saw her opening a restaurant to make Macaroni and Cheese. So, it was the description of the character which led Kristin Chenoweth to Emmy nomination list. Hey… she was such a sweet girl that she never dared to expose her feelings to Ned and kept all that within her only. No doubts… it was such a touchy character.

The thing which makes me wonder is why she didn’t receive a nomination for her appearance on ‘The West Wing’. She deserves an Emmy for that role also.

Well, let’s begin a poll here. What do you think would she be able to win an Emmy Award for her role on Pushing Daisies or we guys would be left with a melancholy ‘Ahhh… if she could have been nominated for The West Wing role’. Give your votes right now.

Meanwhile, you can watch and download the episodes of ‘The West Wing’ and thousands of other popular American, Canadian and British TV shows.

West Wing star Bradley Whitford is divorcing Jane!

Posted by admin

Bradley Whitford is best known for his role of Deputy Chief of Staff, Josh Lyman on the popular NBC Network series ‘The West Wing’. For his brilliant performance on the series, Bradley Whitford has won the Emmy Award as the Best Supporting Actor in a Drama Series in 2001.

As of now, the man is planning to take divorce from his wife Jane Kaczmarek, the Malcolm in the Middle actress, as per Melissa Kates, Whitford’s publicist. The couple got married in 1992. They have three children namely, six-year-old Mary Louisa, George Edward, 9, and Frances Genevieve, 11. Currently, Jane Kaczmarek is appearing on TNT’s ‘Raising the Bar’ and Bradley is also busy in completing his projects.

Though the couple has decided to part ways, their longtime relationship is an example itself. In this fast paced world of Hollywood, staying with each other for seventeen consecutive years is a big deal. On the other hand, it also makes me think where has the mutual understanding gone which has been tying them for such ling period. Well, getting away from each other is their personal issue so we can’t say anything. Hope, they would sort it out in the best possible way.

You know buddies, when I came to know about this news of ‘The West Wing’ actor; it reminded me the days when the show was on air. How much crazy we fans were for West Wing episodes at that time? And, the memories of old days urged me to watch its episodes. I’ve downloaded all the episodes of the show. As it was not possible to watch all episodes in a day so I watched the series finale only. The episode was entitled ‘Tomorrow’ and was aired on May 14, 2006.  Series was ended in a very touching manner. We saw President Santos was welcomed and President Bartlet had to leave the office.  And, The West Wing went away forever.

We’re running this website in order to stay in touch with the show and its celebrities. Here, you can get the latest news about The West Wing. Moreover, you can also watch online and download the episodes of ‘The West Wing’. Join as lifetime or limited member and enjoy you favorite ‘The West Wing’ show with us.

Martin Sheen, of West Wing, is not interested to be a politician

Posted by admin

Though he has portrayed the character of a president for a longtime, the man has no interest in politics.    Yeah, I am talking about Martin Sheen, the man who portrayed the character of Josiah Edward “Jed” Bartlet on popular NBC Network series ‘The West Wing‘. From the beginning of the show to the series finale, we saw him playing the role of the President of the United States and his journey, as a president, came to an end after his heir took over.

Very recently, Martin Sheen has made it clear that he’s not interested in politics and has rejected the chance to be a part of real politics. Martin confessed it in front of the Oxford Union saying that it’s not possible for him to sit in meetings all day.  It was 2004, when a delegation of Democrats from Ohio approached Martin to offer him a chance to run for the Senate Seat. Martin rejected the offer saying ‘it was a tempting offer’.

According to Martin, it’s the lack of aptitude which blocks his way to enter politics and he also has no intentions of following the footprints of other actors. He said, “We already had an old actor in national politics, and it didn’t work out so well. He shall remain nameless”. During the speech, Martin also added that “Acting is what I do for a living. Activism is what I do to stay alive.”

Being a political activist, Martin has been arrested as many as 66 times. He was most recently apprehended in 2007 in Nevada for trespassing on a nuclear test facility.

The above confession of Martin has made me give him more respect and regard. As an actor, he has proved himself by successfully portraying any role even though it might not be of his interest or a character which he can’t even think about adopting in his real life. That’s what is always expected from an actor/actress……… such a marvelous job. What’s your view? Hey, share with me through the comment section.

Well, if you’re missing the show, you can download West Wing episodes here and can also watch West Wing online.

‘West Wing’: Very close to the real politics.

Posted by admin

‘West Wing’ was really a popular show, focusing on reality of the political gallery. Most of the episodes focused on the various legislative and political issues which President Barlet and his underwent.  The series caught the attention of the common man as it told the tale of the scandals, the manipulations and the secrets hidden behind the bright and charming personalities of our politicians.

The situations covered in the storyline were almost always comparable with the political issues that were most important in the days when the series was being aired. After the presidential elections in 2000, when the republican President George W. Bush came to power, the audiences felt uncertain about the continuation of the show as they wondered if the show would retain its topicality. However all the speculations were put to rest when the show continued with its successful journey and even focused on many such issues which were most talked about in those days.

The show gives a sneak peak into not only the behind the door negotiations of the people in power with the Congress but also the personal issues of the politicians like their sex life and drug use. Many people compared one of the scandals associated with President Barlet in the story, with the most controversial Monika Lewinsky scandal associated with President Bill Clinton in real life. The subplot revolved around the immense pressure felt by Presidential staff, because of President Barlet’s non disclosure of his illness to the electorate. He was shown to be suffering from sclerosis and was investigated by the opposition and accused of defrauding the public. The subplot ended with President Barlet eventually accepting the Congressional censure.

The entire series showcased many such scandals and issues in its main storyline as well as the subplots which resembled the real life American political scenes to a great extent. The whole series was quite interesting and the viewers had their eyes transfixed on their TV sets during the airing of the episodes. It is really sad that the series could not continue airing after its seventh season.

The West Wing creator moves to ‘The Challenge’

Posted by admin

Name of Aaron Sorkin is not new to TV viewers; the man is the one who created the very popular NBC drama ‘The West Wing‘. Latest news is exploring that, as of now, Aaron is writing the script for the new George Clooney courtroom drama ‘The Challenge’. Clooney would be directing the project and chances are that he’d also play Navy lawyer Charles Swift.

Well, when Aaron’s name becomes involved with any project, expectations are always high…. Who can forget The West Wing! It ran for seven consecutive seasons and each one was, by all odds, better than the previous one…. . We continued expecting better from The West Wing and they people always did more than our expectations.

I still remember the day when we last watched the West Wing, it was May 14, 2008 and the season seven finale was entitled ‘Tomorrow’. It was the series finale episode and really served its purpose as a series ender. Here, we saw that the Bartlet Administration was preparing to leave White House and also the west wing. Santos and his gang were gearing up, somehow nervously, for the presidential inauguration. We also saw that Santos planned to make Baker the vice-president thorough the Twenty-fifth Amendment. And, in the last minutes of his presidency, Bartlet pardoned Toby.

And, it was the end of that awesome drama. The West Wing became identification for NBC Network and the ratings and appreciation it got is still better than several other NBC shows. Approximately, 150 episodes were aired during the series run and all were very entertaining. For me, series episodes were means to relax and to forget all worries and tensions etc. I just skipped an episode of second season as it was my exam on that day. The very next day, I downloaded it and watched so that I’d not have to get lost… what & why?

There’ve been rumors of The West Wing sequel from time to time but nothing has ever been finalized by the creators. But, the idea is really great and I really want The West Wing TV show to return in form of a sequel or a movie etc.

Kristen Chenoweth heads to Big Screen!

Posted by admin

Many of you’ll identify Kristen Chenoweth as ‘The West Wing’s Annabeth Schott and some will recognize her as Pushing Daisies’s Olive Snook. Well, no issues. It’s she and it doesn’t matter with which role she attracted you. After all, both are her performances. Lady performed well on both of the TV shows and very soon, we’ll catch her on Big Screen.

Nowadays, the lovely drama ‘Pushing Daisies’ is on the verge of cancellation and no one has any clue regarding its future. Even, the star cast of series is also not sure. That’s not of our business but I’ve written it to tell you that when Pushing Daisies is dealing with troubles, star cast has started to move to some other projects in order to secure their future. And the recent news is that Kristen Chenoweth, aka Annabeth Schott of ‘The West Wing’ will be seen in a movie named ‘Four Christmases’ along with Vince Vaughn and Reese Witherspoon. She’ll play Reese Witherspoon’s jealously competitive sister in the movie. Let’s see how she attracts the stares of everyone through her breathtaking performance.

Her portrayal of Annabeth Schott is still in my mind. She joined the Bartlet administration in the sixth season of series and helped the department to complete its various projects with her intelligence and super skills. I still remember the incident when she was selected by the First Lady as her press secretary after Leo’s death and the election of Matt Santos as president.

Her good-looks helped her to become heartthrob of every fan and I too became her fan after I watched her performing Annabeth Schott on ‘The West Wing’. She really rocked on ‘The West Wing’. After series’ cancellation, she moved towards ‘Pushing Daisies’ and now when it’s also on the verge of cancellation, she has full plans to shake the Big screen with her marvelous performance. Before I leave, I’d like to share another interesting fact about her with you buddies. Do you know, her initial name was Kristi and she changed it as Kristin… yep, these are the celebrity styles!

Aaron Sorkin, the creator of the famous U.S drama the ‘West Wing’ and the writer of Tom Hanks movie Charlie Wilson’s War has finally decided to make a movie on the founder of the world famous socializing website “Facebook’

Modest Sorkin has admitted that he does not know how this whole networking thing works. He said that in order to get some knowledge and to get some homework done for his movie he has opened a page on Facebook. He said that the project was a joint venture between Sony and producer Scott Rudin.

The 47 year old admitted that he did not really understand Facebook and was quite blank on how he was going to work on the movie. The West Wing: an animated series

Posted by admin

If you think that I misspelled the whole thing, then you are wrong. One of your favorite series, ‘The West Wing‘, which had ended in 2006, will be back. But the series will be back with a complete new look. This time ‘The West Wing’ will entertain its viewers, but in the form of an animation. This announcement was made by Aaron Sorkin, the creator of the series.

On the day two of the 2008 San Diego SorCon, Aaron Sorkin, in front of 30,000 fans announced that “I’m excited to bring my Emmy Award-winning writing to the field of animation”, making the crowd go wild. His new show has been tentatively named “The West Wing: The Santos Administration”. After making this announcement, Sorkin stressed on the fact that the main reason behind doing another West Wing, is staying true to his fans. He also said that while doing this animation series, he would make sure that everyone’s favorite characters and policy issues from the first series fall in right place.

After completing his speech, a four minute clip from the pilot episode of “The West Wing: The Santos Administration” was screened. He then explained the ideas behind the show. This animation series will start after almost two years, from the time the last episode of the series was aired. The animated version will focus on President Matt Santos as he deals with his party’s crushing defeat in the midterm elections and his advisers’ struggle with the death of President Jed Bartlet, who finally succumbed to complications from multiple sclerosis.

All the fans who have been waiting for the show to get restarted, their wait has finally come to an end. Though no final date for the premier has been decided, but I am sure that this news in itself that the series will be restarted calls for a cheer.

Nice farewell to the President

Posted by Derrick

Have you seen the finale episode of West Wing? It is a very touching episode. It is all about the final farewell to the ex-president, Abigail Bartlet. After a long struggle he got the chair of President. Then he struggled to deliver a notable performance to show the people that they had chosen the right person as their President. After many controversies and getting sucked into blame game and scandals, finally he left the chair. Then all his staff was shown to be looking for other jobs after elected out of rule. He himself was confused about the situation. Obviously it is not easy to leave the White House after spending so many years there.

the-west-wing.jpg

I liked the two scenes the most from this episode. One was where Leo McGarry’s daughter Mallory gifts Bartlet a cocktail napkin on with ‘Bartlet for America’ written on it. Actually Garry had given this napkin to Bartlet convincing him to fight for Presidency of America, in the third season and the President got it framed and gifted it back to Garry as Christmas present. Bartlet recalls those moments in flash back in the finale episode.

The second scene that I liked was, when the President got his farewell and he was looking at the note and reminiscing about the last eight years, First Lady asked him what he was looking at. And Bartlet replied “Tomorrow”. This is a very touching scene and the viewers too dive into deep sea of thoughts and start thinking about the previous episodes. Excellent filming and very well written ending for this equally wonderful finale episode, I must say.

I didn’t watch this episode when it was aired. I missed it for some reasons and today I caught that here. In fact I am watching this show since many days over here. Usually I download two or three episodes so now gradually I reached the finale episode. Finale impressed me to that extent that I have watched it twice. Now I am thinking of watching this series once again.
