Moira Kelly, a very well known American Actress, was born to Peter and Anne. Her father was a trained concert violinist and her mother was a nurse and they both were of Irish descent. She grew up in Ronkonkoma, NY. In 1986, she graduated from Connetquot Senior High School in Bohemia, Long Island. Next, she joined Marymount Manhattan College.
During her high school years, she became a part of ‘Annie’, her high school production of 1984. Her movie credits include Chaplin, With Honors, Twin Peaks: Fire Walk with Me and The Cutting Edge. In the independent movie, ‘Entertaining Angels: The Dorothy Day Story’, she appeared as activist Dorothy Day. In the Disney productions ‘The Lion King, The Lion King 1 1/2, and The Lion King II: Simba’s Pride, she gave her voice to Nala. In the first season of ‘The West Wing’, she appeared as Mandy Hampton. During 2003, she was seen on the teen drama ‘One Tree Hill’ portraying the single mother Karen Roe. In March 2008, Moira Kelly made appearance on ‘Law & Order’ and portrayed the wife of a murdered psychiatrist.
She has been married to Steve Hewitt, a Texas based businessman and has two children Ella and Eamon with him. She’s also likely to join the star cast of Heroes in the upcoming season of the show.
