If you think that I misspelled the whole thing, then you are wrong. One of your favorite series, ‘The West Wing‘, which had ended in 2006, will be back. But the series will be back with a complete new look. This time ‘The West Wing’ will entertain its viewers, but in the form of an animation. This announcement was made by Aaron Sorkin, the creator of the series.

On the day two of the 2008 San Diego SorCon, Aaron Sorkin, in front of 30,000 fans announced that “I’m excited to bring my Emmy Award-winning writing to the field of animation”, making the crowd go wild. His new show has been tentatively named “The West Wing: The Santos Administration”. After making this announcement, Sorkin stressed on the fact that the main reason behind doing another West Wing, is staying true to his fans. He also said that while doing this animation series, he would make sure that everyone’s favorite characters and policy issues from the first series fall in right place.
After completing his speech, a four minute clip from the pilot episode of “The West Wing: The Santos Administration” was screened. He then explained the ideas behind the show. This animation series will start after almost two years, from the time the last episode of the series was aired. The animated version will focus on President Matt Santos as he deals with his party’s crushing defeat in the midterm elections and his advisers’ struggle with the death of President Jed Bartlet, who finally succumbed to complications from multiple sclerosis.

All the fans who have been waiting for the show to get restarted, their wait has finally come to an end. Though no final date for the premier has been decided, but I am sure that this news in itself that the series will be restarted calls for a cheer.

Have you seen the finale episode of West Wing? It is a very touching episode. It is all about the final farewell to the ex-president, Abigail Bartlet. After a long struggle he got the chair of President. Then he struggled to deliver a notable performance to show the people that they had chosen the right person as their President. After many controversies and getting sucked into blame game and scandals, finally he left the chair. Then all his staff was shown to be looking for other jobs after elected out of rule. He himself was confused about the situation. Obviously it is not easy to leave the White House after spending so many years there.

I liked the two scenes the most from this episode. One was where Leo McGarry’s daughter Mallory gifts Bartlet a cocktail napkin on with ‘Bartlet for America’ written on it. Actually Garry had given this napkin to Bartlet convincing him to fight for Presidency of America, in the third season and the President got it framed and gifted it back to Garry as Christmas present. Bartlet recalls those moments in flash back in the finale episode.
The second scene that I liked was, when the President got his farewell and he was looking at the note and reminiscing about the last eight years, First Lady asked him what he was looking at. And Bartlet replied “Tomorrow”. This is a very touching scene and the viewers too dive into deep sea of thoughts and start thinking about the previous episodes. Excellent filming and very well written ending for this equally wonderful finale episode, I must say.

I didn’t watch this episode when it was aired. I missed it for some reasons and today I caught that here. In fact I am watching this show since many days over here. Usually I download two or three episodes so now gradually I reached the finale episode. Finale impressed me to that extent that I have watched it twice. Now I am thinking of watching this series once again.

It seems that you are looking for something exciting about West Wing, like me. Well I am here to watch the episodes from my favorite show. You know, today I am sort of free, and felt like watching something different than the stuff running currently on television. And what could be better than West Wing.

Well when this show was on air, I was a regular viewer of the show. At that time the Real White House was mired into many controversies, so this was really entertaining to watch this show. The storyline was a jibe on the real White House staff and President. I hope nobody out of them is read this. I liked the way of presentation of the show, like gossips and talks in the corridors, which is said to be its trade mark. Sometimes I wondered what if there were close circuit hidden cameras in those corridors without staff’s knowledge. It would have added some fun to the serious drama.

I remember, the first season was quite impressive and hard core political. As in this season they are just trying hard to show their performance after forming the government by bringing about development. The first season concentrated on the disagreements between President and vice- President. Besides this, the Deputy Communication Director was in controversies up to his neck.
In the beginning, the show seemed boring to me but as I kept on watching it regularly, I found it resembled Bill Clinton’s life. From then onwards the show captured my interest completely. It has remained the hot topic of debate among my gang ever since

I love The West Wing series not only for of its plot and quotes but also for show’s relevance to the real life. The West Wing is a kind of series which always tries to set an example for the citizens and it also guides us how and by whom the country should be run. When I finished watching ‘Isaac and Ishmael’, I felt that series was awesome. I had never watched anything of this sort. This particular episode was aired to pay a tribute to the victims of September 11 terrorist attacks.
In this episode, the White House is sealed as an employee is suspected of being a terrorist. John Spencer and his team, gets down for investigating the case. On the very same day, a group of high school overachievers is visiting the White House. The scenes when the group discusses who terrorists are and why they hate America are a bit painful. I think the character of Martin Sheen is mature and principled. Well, in this episode it was good to see White House residents such as President and First Lady participating in discussion which was held to find out the reasons behind terrorism.

Some issues such as fear, race and vengeance are very well tackled by the episode. The most notable issue of this episode is an analogy written on the board by Josh: “Islamic extremism is to Islam as KKK is to Christianity”. Some special picks from special episode for you guys-

Toby: Bad people can’t be recognized on sight. There’s no point in trying.
A student: What do you call a society that has to just live every day with the idea that the pizza place you are eating in could just blow up without any warning?
Sam: Israel.
Bartlet: We don’t need martyrs right now. We need heroes. A hero would die for his country but he’d much rather live for it… It was good meeting you all.
